The Clone

I’m looking at myself.

But is it really me?

I see my eyes for the first time and it’s breath-taking.

I can actually reach out and do what I’ve longed to do for years -

Give myself a hug.

To have the feeling of being me while simultaneously loving me.

I’d love to give everyone that feeling.

I want to tell myself how beautiful I am,

But I can’t find the words

So I stare into your eyes.

Which are also my eyes.

Oh, how much I love you.

My body does so much for me and this is the first time I’m ever really seeing her,

And I’m speechless.

So much time wasted on people who have hurt us.

I hope you know how much you truly mean to me.

I hope you know how loved you are,

Inside and Out.

I hope you stand tall and keep your head high from now on.

I often forget. So much.

But I hope I never forget all you do for me.

I end this with one final wish.

I hope you always see the beauty and possibilities out there,

For you are beauty.

We are all beauty.

And if you ever forget just think about where we all came from.

This beautiful planet full of life and power and beauty.

For you are all that and so much more.
